SecData создала всемирную сеть «медовых горшков» для захвата информации о взломе и мошенничестве по всему миру. Эти медоносные горшки являются незащищенными PBX, работающими на серверах, расположенных в 15 различных местах по всему миру. Серверы собирают информацию об исходных IP-адресах хакеров, номерах, которые они пытаются позвонить, агентах пользователей, попытках эксплойтов, профиле агента пользователя, портах, попытках подключения и т.д. Затем информация передается в Telium для немедленной обработки и помещается в базы данных SecData.

SecData использует простой интерфейс ReST (Representational State Transfer) для всех запросов. Интерфейс ReST позволяет широкому спектру устройств и языков программирования взаимодействовать с SecData с помощью простого URL-адреса, а ответы могут быть отформатированы как простой текст, JSON и XML. Включенная документация содержит примеры того, как запрашивать серверы SecData с различных языков и скриптов (C, C, PHP, Bash и т.д.) и dialplans (Звездочка).
